Venetian-Inspired Wedding at The Monastery New Orleans

Courtyard Ceremony and Raucous Reception The Monastery Lance Nicoll

Our clients wanted a venue that was unique, unexpected, and a bold showcase of the architectural character that New Orleans is known for. When the bride visited New Orleans with her family for a day of site visits, the venue that stood out the most was an abandoned church and its massive property that once was the home of Catholic nuns in the area. With rich historic details around every turn, The Monastery in New Orleans offered a gorgeous backdrop for a courtyard ceremony, a lovely cocktail hour al fresco under the soaring queen palms, and a raucous reception celebration in the atrium of the church itself. Capping the night off with a traditional second line parade through the French Quarter, this really was the best day ever!
