We were thrilled to design this golden anniversary celebration for our client planning a destination weekend to celebrate her parents’ fiftieth wedding anniversary last year! And at a staple in New Orleans culinary history, Arnaud’s Restaurant, we knew this would be an intimate celebration for the books! While we love planning weddings for our clients both locally and afar, we find so much joy in the opportunity to plan a special event celebrating another one of life’s memorable occasions. What better occasion than a golden anniversary to see the results of marital bliss and the loved ones that came together to share in the joy, in our hometown of New Orleans!
Our client explained this soiree would bring 50 family and friends together to celebrate her parents’ golden anniversary, and she’d be planning exclusively from afar – trusting Sapphire Events to organize all the planning and design logistics without the client coming into town once. Not only are we experts in everything New Orleans, but because we deal with plenty of destination clients planning their event from out-of-state, having our systems in place and building a foundation of trust from the get-go really allowed for our client to trust in the process and enjoy the planning with minimal stress. And that’s how it should be!
Arnaud’s is one of our favorite New Orleans restaurants, so when our client reached out to us and described what she was looking for, making the venue recommendation was easy. What is perfect about the Creole Cottage at Arnaud’s is it capture beautiful light in the afternoon and late evening, making pictures upon arrival to the dinner perfect for that golden hour light. The room is a convenient size for a small, intimate celebration, so the 50 person guest count was just right for this floorplan. With a private entrance directly into the room from the street, the guests of honor had a private entrance into the venue, along with the rest of their party, which made the celebration that much more special!
We adore the delicate details we brought in for this intimate dinner at a hallmark French Quarter restaurant, including gorgeous gilded linens, gardenias sprinkled throughout Arnaud’s Creole Cottage, and even golden alligator place card holders for a refined touch of bayou chic. It was a joy to celebrate this couple who shared five decades of married life together, and to share in the happiness of their family members in true New Orleans fashion was the highlight of our summer. Partnering with our trusted team once again with Luminous Events, Kim Starr Wise, Perrier Party Rentals and Melissa’s Fine Pastries made this event come together flawlessly as usual.
